Lily & Co., Bollettieri to host Raise a Racket for Clean Water fundraiser

Lily & Co. Jewelers is again partnering with International Tennis Hall of Fame Coach Nick Bollettieri and his IMG Academy team to present an engaging tennis event on Nov. 10 on Sanibel.

Raise a Racket for Clean Water will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Beachview Tennis Club.

The proceeds will benefit clean water efforts through the Sanibel-Captiva Conservation Foundation.

International Tennis Hall of Fame Coach Nick Bollettieri, and his IMG Academy team, will again partner with Lily & Co. Jewelers to host the Raise a Racket for Clean Water charity event on Nov 10.

"We have been organizing this event for several years and it has benefited a number of charities," Dan Schuyler, co-owner of Lily & Co. with Karen Bell, said. "Our community has been suffering from water quality issues, so it only seemed right to choose this valuable organizations."

Raise a Racket for Clean Water will be doubles Round Robin play, divided by skill level, with instruction by Bollettieri on one of the five HydroGrid clay courts. A continental breakfast and grilled lunch will be provided by the Sanibel Catering Company by Bailey's, while SCCF will provide information on the current water crisis. Attendees will have the chance to win one raffle prizes from Lily & Co., Sanibel Catering Co., Beachview Tennis Club and IMG Academy.

Trophies, donated by Lily & Co., will be presented to all finalists.

Doves chief designer Doron Hakimian will mark his fourth visit to Lily & Co. with a special trunk show at the store during the charity tennis event and will participate in the event as a player.

"Doves has become synonymous with eye-catching and wearable heirloom-quality jewelry," Schuyler said. "We welcome him back to our island and are delighted he will be participating in our charity tennis event."

Cost is $100 for players and $50 for spectators, but space is limited.
