No dogs at Farmer’s Market

January 7, 2020

To the editor:

We have been visiting Sanibel for many years. One of the reasons we come to Sanibel is that our dog is welcome in many places on the island. We also enjoy going to the Farmers Market with him on Sunday morning, where we shop for the week's groceries and socialize with other patrons.

Dogs are no longer welcome at the Farmers Market and we feel disinclined to go to the market without our dog. Our dog is welcome at our Village's Farmers Market. Dogs stroll around and there seems to be no problem. We hope the Town Council of Sanibel will revisit the prohibition of dogs at the Farmers Market.
