Bailey's General Store will offer a free Virtual Wine Tasting via Zoom on July 2 at 5 p.m. with guest host Mike McCahill and featuring two selections, J Vineyards' California Cuve and Fleur de Mer.

A brut sparkling wine, J Vineyard's California Cuve opens with a pop of tart pineapple and orange blossom. The palate is lively and rich with layered notes of Asian pear and honeysuckle, overlaying hints of fresh mandarin peel and marzipan before a zesty focused finish.

A Cotes de Provence ros, Fleur de Mer Ros entices with notes of cherry, watermelon and citrus, and is "perfectly provenal" with the lavender-colored label that makes the region so famous.

Guests can participate by preordering a tasting package, available for pickup at Bailey's prior to the event. After joining the Zoom video conference, they will learn about the wines from the host. A paired platter by Sanibel Catering Company Chef Karl Hamme is also available if they select that package.

The pairings include an assorted charcuterie board, imported cheeses, raw honeycomb, pickled vegetables, black mission figs and fresh fruit. Featured hors d'oeuvres included with some packages are poached north Atlantic salmon with Meyer lemons and fresh dill, as well as honey grilled chicken breast roulade with brie and apricot compote.

For the Zoom link and tasting package details, email by June 30.
